Taourirt Morocco

Taourirt  is a town in Taourirt Province in the northern part of Morocco. Situated in the Oriental region about 100 km west to the city of Oujda.

The town is important as a transport link: the main east-west railway from Casablanca - Rabat - Fez in the west to Oujda in the east runs through Taourirt. Also bus lines running from several cities in the Nador province (including the city of Nador) make a stop in the town.

The new branch line of the Moroccan railways running from Taourirt to Nador opened in 2009. This line runs alongside the existing road, through the mountains, to Nador.

Taourirt is also known because of its ancient Kasbah.

Mirleft is a small village to the south of Tiznit on the Atlantic coast, and about 2.5 hours from Agadir airport.  The town is very Moroccan – rarely will you see Moroccan women in the town itself!  A small market is held in the town where the men go to purchase the goods and local produce for their family, and the women work in the fields, manage the house and look after the children.

The beach is large and quiet, remote and peaceful, perfect for a romantic break or complete chill out.

Close to  Mirleft there is an oasis and a ruined fort, as well as the Spanish, Art-deco town of Sidi Ifni, the Saturday morning camel market at Goulimine and the Oasis of Tata on the Sahara plain.

Tinghir Morocco

Tinghir  is a city in the region of Tinghir, south of the High Atlas and north of the Little Atlas in southeastern Morocco. Its name originally referred to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, but its area has expanded to encompass surrounding villages and refers to the entire oasis.

The city of Tinghir (Baladia tinghir) has a population of 36,000 and the area has 86,500 inhabitants, according to the 2004 census. The predominant ethnic group is Amazighs, and the city is at the center of one of the most attractive oases in southern Morocco. Lush palm trees cover about 30 miles (48 km) on 500-to-1,500-metre (550 to 1,600 yd)-wide tracts along the Wadi Todgha. After the Todra Gorge, Wadi Todgha has a difficult passage along the southern slopes of the Atlas Mountains (Tizgui); it then flows across the plain, meandering slightly over 20 kilometres (12 mi) to Ferkla. The palm oasis, dense and widespread, is irrigated by a network of pipes and irrigation canals. Occasional heavy rains are absorbed in a few days.

Ouazzane  is a town in northern Morocco, with a population of approximately 57,972 (2004).

The city is well known in Morocco and throughout the Islamic world by being a spiritual capital for it was home for many of the pillars of Sufism. It has been known also as “Dar amana”.
